Vaginoplasty

OUR PROCESS

Vaginal rejuvenation, also known as Vaginoplasty, is a surgical procedure that aims to tighten the vagina. Vaginal laxity, which refers to the stretching of vaginal tissue and separation of muscles, is a common occurrence after childbirth and with aging. Vaginoplasty is a surgical solution to address this issue, by repairing and tightening the muscles and tissue surrounding the vaginal opening and inside the vagina.

More and more women are turning to vaginal rejuvenation to address issues such as discomfort during sex, urinary incontinence, and changes in the appearance of their vagina due to aging or childbirth. After unsuccessful pelvic floor therapy, some women opt for surgical routes to strengthen their vagina and restore it to its previous size. The procedure involves removing excess skin and using stitches to secure loose tissue in the vagina, ultimately reducing its opening and canal size.

The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia. The surgery takes around 2 hours, and patients spend about an hour in the recovery room to monitor for any complications. Pain and discomfort may be experienced after the surgery, but medication can be prescribed to alleviate this, as well as antibiotics to prevent infections. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for 6-8 weeks after surgery.

Vaginoplasty can provide rewarding results, improving a woman’s self-esteem and sexual pleasure. By tightening and restoring the vaginal muscles, friction is re-established, leading to an increase in sexual gratification for both women and their partner. If you are interested in vaginal rejuvenation, we would be happy to discuss the procedure with you and determine if you are a good candidate. Please contact our office to schedule a consultation.
